Thank you for taking the time to read these answers to prayer and prayer requests. Your prayers really are a lifeline. Often missionaries have other needs that are not published in a prayer letter but are influenced by your prayers.

God continues to work in the village of Visoca. Victor was saved in the Fall of 2023, baptized the Spring of last year. His son, Ghena, called on Christ for salvation in August of last year and was baptized in May of this year. His wife was back in Moldova for 5 months from working outside of the country. In August, she accepted the Lord Jesus! We praise the Lord for what He is doing in this family. Please pray for Valentina to grow in Christ, despite having left to work outside of Moldova again. Eli, the lady missionary living in the village of Visoca, is continuing to teach her remotely. Thank God for the good opportunities that technology can bring.
On September 8th, we found out from our lawyer that immigration laws changed again here. Caleb is required to have an FBI background check done for him to renew his permit the first time. That day, we had his fingerprints done and mailed them out. It took 18 days to get to the FBI. The report is being mailed to Dad, who in turn must expedite it to the State Department to add the Apostille. Due to the government shutdown, that office is closed. Caleb was supposed to have his documents submitted to the government here by October 1st. His current residence permit expires November 1st. Please pray for grace in the eyes of the immigration office here and for the Lord’s will to be done.
After investing so much time in witnessing to teens in Soroca, Caleb was wondering if there would be any fruit. A young man named Andre showed great interest in the Bible. After going through the Gospel with him, he shared a clear belief and previous acceptance of Christ. He is hungry to grow. Caleb has now met with him for a couple weeks for Bible study. Please pray for Andre to grow and for another young man (also named Andre) who contacted Caleb with interest in meeting with him. Along the same topic, my neighbor also is now open to an evangelistic Bible study. We just started this recently. Please pray for him and his understanding.
At the end of September, Moldova held its parliamentary elections. We thank the Lord that the process was done peacefully and that the pro-Russian socialist party did not gain a majority. Things are still very volatile and divided in this country.
Lord willing, we will be in the States for furlough next year and visiting churches during the summer. I sent an email with a link to a survey for the pastors of supporting churches. If you did not receive it, please contact me ASAP. Thank you very much to those who completed the survey, letting us know whether we need to report next furlough to you or not in person. Due to the brevity of the furlough, we will not be able to visit all of you, unfortunately. Please pray for us as we continue making plans for furlough as it is a lot of work in addition to the regular ministry responsibilities.
Thank you once again for your prayers and support.
