May 2026 Prayer Letter
Greetings from the U.S.! Abby and Caleb made it back on March 31st and the rest of us on April 21st. It was the smoothest trip we have had. Also, the water pollution issue was resolved before we had left and were without water for only a short time. Thank you for praying.

Greetings from the U.S.! Abby and Caleb made it back on March 31st and the rest of us on April 21st. It was the smoothest trip we have had. Also, the water pollution issue was resolved before we had left and were without water for only a short time. Thank you for praying.
Caleb successfully passed his driving test and has his license. Abby is a little behind on that due to the DMV not accepting certain documentation at first and then her needing a new eyeglass prescription. She should be able to take her written test the next time. She will be staying in the U.S. and starting work as a teacher's assistant at our sending church's Christian school. Please pray for Abby in this new stage of life.
In the midst of the business of preparing to leave home for furlough, I providentially met a young man from the States. I don't have the space here to share all God did for this to occur, but it was a divine appointment. We invited him over for supper and had a great time getting to know him and hearing the questions he has had about God and the Bible. Please pray for "S" as he continues to seek answers from the Bible. He will be back in the States by the time we head back to Moldova, unfortunately.
By God's grace, Maia got custody of two of her children, the youngest and oldest. The next day her oldest was pushed by another student and fell on metal, resulting in emergency surgery on her gallbladder. She was in a coma for a couple of weeks. Though now out of ICU, she is still in serious condition. We have already heard Maia share how God has provided since we left for furlough and are not able to help her like while we were in Moldova. The government has not sent her the disability payment for over a month, which has made meeting daily needs impossible without God's intervention through people. Please keep praying for her, her daughter Rosalina, and for God to show His mighty hand of provision.
Please pray for Jacob and the churches in our absence. We are so blessed to have coworkers to keep the work going, even in our absence. He is also needing to deal with a difficult situation with an individual. Please pray for him to have the Lord's wisdom.
Our furlough is 4 months and 10 days and will include meetings in 26 churches. Already, the Lord has shown us great mercy and provision. In addition to the smooth trip over, the Lord provided a chiropractor who was led of the Lord to take care of our entire family for free. Daniel, Stephanie, and I were not able to find treatment while in Moldova. This doctor has been a God-send. While Stephanie and I drove up to Missouri to pick up the Righteous Rides rental van, we were in a tornado warning on the way up. God protected us and helped us hit a corridor of more mild weather there and back. Also, Caleb and I finished the furlough video/trailer. You can view it at: https://grossmissionaries.com/his-story Click the link "View Trailer Now". Lord willing, we will have the full-length documentary done by end of May or by mid-June at the latest. Please pray for us to get it finished in time and for Christ to be glorified through it.
Thank you for praying for us. I plan to mail a stack of our new prayer cards to the supporting churches that we will not be able to attend. If you are not in a supporting church but would like a prayer card, just let me know.
