This year we had to reapply for our residence permit. There have been a lot of changes in people being able to get residency permits in the last year or two, so we were expecting to get a permit for only one year. This year we had to reapply for our residence permit. There have been a lot of changes in people being able to get residency permits in the last year or two, so we were expecting to get a permit for only one year. This problem creates a lot more expense and wasted time in going to the capital and going through the process every year. Many prayed, the Lord worked, and we were excited to receive a three year residency to remain in Moldova. Thank you for your prayers for this.

In March, we held another evangelization on International Women’s Day. Last year we had seven ladies in attendance, but this year we had fourteen. Praise the Lord for those who attended that heard the gospel.

David continues to do Bible studies in the village of Visoca. The people are less busy in the winter, so they have held weekly Bible studies from January through March for the last two years. But this year, they wanted to continue to have these Bible studies. We agreed to do 10 more weeks and then see if this will become a regular meeting. It is a small group who attends faithfully. Lord willing, this will become a church plant in the village in the future.

We were also able to baptize two more people on May 2. One was the son of a man from Visoca who was baptized last year. It is a blessing to watch the Lord work in this family. The son’s unsaved wife also attended service that day for the first time. Pray for her salvation. The other person baptized was our youngest son, Simeon. After professing Christ in December he said that he wanted to be baptized, too, to follow the Lord in obedience. We praise the Lord for answering prayer and working in his life.

In the village of Bulboci, we held an evangelization the day after Resurrection Sunday to connect the Resurrection with salvation in their minds. Mostly children came, but a few adults also came, one of whom listened very intently.

A believer in the village of Bulboci has an aunt who lives here near Soroca. We have witnessed to her and talked with her about Christ several times. She has said she wants to start coming to our services regularly and first attended on the baptism Sunday. Praise the Lord for His work in the hearts of people around us—that is our prayer. May the Lord move with His Holy Spirit and use us in the lives of people here.

Please pray for several more upcoming things. Daniel and Ana will need to have their tonsils and adenoids removed. We will have several weeks of VBS this summer (July) and I will be preaching a week of camp again (August). Please pray for the preparations and for fruit. Thank you again for your prayers and support.
