July 2026 Prayer Letter

Only 6 more meetings and a little over a month remain for our furlough. God has graciously giving us protection in our 8,000 miles of travel in these three months thus far. We have enjoyed reconnecting with people we previously met and making new connections. In July, we attended BIMI's Enrichment Week for missionaries on furlough. We thoroughly enjoyed the time with other missionaries, being fed from the Word by Bro. Bob Wall, and seeing our children enjoy the activities with other MKs. We thank the Lord for meeting some Russian and Romanian speakers in our travels and sharing the Gospel with them. Please pray that the Lord will continue to use our time to call more men to ministry, Christians to a closer walk with Christ, and lost people to hear the Gospel.
The responses thus far to the furlough video and the completed documentary, His Story, have been very encouraging. We lost track of how many hours went into creating it, most of the work being done by our oldest son. If you have not yet seen it, go here to watch it.
Abby now has her driver's permit and is taking lessons from her grandfather. I hear she is making progress and doing well. She is supposed to start work at Heritage Christian Academy on August 5th as a teacher's assistant. Please pray for her to pass her driver's test and to have a good start with her new job next month.
We have been encouraged to hear of the work in Moldova this summer by our coworkers, Jacob and Viola Hughes, and a summer intern, Rachel, who has been working with them. They completed 3 weeks of VBS, each week in a different location. Please pray for the seeds planted to grow and bring fruit.
An update on Maia: her oldest had a long road of recovery but has made it out of the hospital and is home again. Her youngest who is almost 2 years old had to have an emergency heart surgery to correct an irregularity that was affecting oxygen levels. The surgery went well and after a couple of weeks has also been released. Continue to pray for Maia and her children's needs to be met.
Upon our return to Moldova, we have a couple of decisions to make and ask for you to pray for the Lord's providence and leading. Daniel and Ana (and eventually Simeon) need braces. Please pray that we can find a good orthodontist in the city that is only an hour away from us rather than have to drive to the capital (almost 3 hours away). Also, pray that we find a good, reliable van to replace ours which is requiring more and more repairs each year.
