January 2026 Prayer Letter

We trust you had a blessed time reflecting on the incarnation of Christ and also a good start to the new year. We finally have a real winter that is cold and white. Last winter it didn’t snow (it did a little in the Fall and in the Spring, though).

We trust you had a blessed time reflecting on the incarnation of Christ and also a good start to the new year. We finally have a real winter that is cold and white. Last winter it didn’t snow (it did a little in the Fall and in the Spring, though).

Thank you for praying for Abby, Caleb, and Daniel’s residence permits. It has been more complicated than expected with having to get FBI background checks with Apostille again for the oldest two. Since the holidays here last three weeks (we have old Christmas and new Christmas), we are still waiting to hear from our lawyer that the permits were granted or not. Please keep praying.

Bible studies with individuals are continuing to go well. I am on lesson 12 with my neighbor and recently finished the last lesson (48) with Vădim. Please pray for their eyes to be opened and to believe. The small group in Visoca for the Wednesday study has shrunk but has been profitable for those who have continued to come. Discipleship with Victor and Ghena are each Wednesday. I continue to meet with my insurance agent. We are going through the book of Acts. He reads through the chapter each week and then we discuss it. I am doing lessons long-distance with Maia, the gypsy believer who now lives in Transnistria. Caleb continues to meet with Andre and has been joined virtually by another teen. A new couple has been coming recently on Sundays, but it hasn’t worked out to meet regularly yet outside of services. Pray for the Lord to use these meetings to bring salvation and sanctification in these dear folks.

In December, I was asked to preach for an evangelization for a friend in the NW part of Moldova. There were a good number of children and parents present. No decisions were made but seed was planted.

Often we request prayer for those we are ministering to, but please also add extra prayer for our children. Pray for continued spiritual growth, good relations between themselves, strong faith, hope instead of fear with the changes this year, and to continue being a witness to others. Satan’s attacks are real. Pray for us having done all, to stand (Eph. 6:13). Speaking of the kids, Viola organized a Christmas pageant for them to do for the church, and it turned out very well.

On January 6th, we organized a one-day Christmas VBS at our house. We had 19 kids come from our neighborhood and learn that “Wise Men still Seek Him.” We redid the program in the village of Bulboci two days later. Between the two VBS days, we caroled in Bulboci and the neighboring village, Regina Maria, for over 4 hours, singing at many homes and giving them a wall calendar that Caleb designed with the Gospel and church info on the back.

Thank you once again for your prayers and support.
